Landscaping Project

Presentation of Landscape Concept: 9.45am Sunday 20 November
Shannon Bray, the Landscaping Architect appointed by Board of Managers for our project, will present a preliminary concept for us to think about. Sally has kindly rearranged service times so that we can fit this meeting in.

The work Shannon has done is based on the brief we developed and the vision for the church grounds to be welcoming, user friendly and spiritual with good connections with our city and providing a place where people can congregate and gather.

After the presentation the concept drawings will be on display in the foyer for some time and over the next two months there will be many opportunities for people to talk to the Landscaping Project Group about this – what’s good, what’s not so good. Only after we’ve had time to look at it and think about it will we decide whether we want to proceed with it as presented or with changes or whether we want Shannon to start again.

The Landscaping Project Group will also be looking at Parish finances so it can give Board of Managers and the congregation the information needed to make a decision about this important project.

This is one more step on the journey with our project, it’s not the last and we’re not expecting any decisions until everyone has had time to become informed, and to reflect and talk about what we need to do.
