Fireside November meeting

Fireside had a Christmas pot luck meal last Tuesday night. Our offering for our Christmas outreach supported ‘The Angel Tree’ – children of Prisoners. $250 will be forwarded to the cause. Dorothy Finlayson

Fireside – Candles For Christmas


The next meeting of the Fireside group will be the last for 2011. We intend to celebrate with a Christmas theme “CANDLES FOR CHRISTMAS”. Do join us on 15th November 2011 in the Church lounge
at 6pm for a shared meal. Please bring food to share and a dinner plate, knife, fork, spoon and dessert bowl. All welcome. There won’t be a sales table this month but for those willing, a cash collection will be taken to support the Angel Tree (Prisoner’s children). Dorothy Finlayson.

Fireside Spring Meeting

Fireside members had a fun Spring meeting in September, 2011. Dorothy Finlayson and Helen Morgan showed beautiful blooms as did many members for the Spring Competition.

Our guest speaker was Mrs. Elaine Brown showing us the technique of dyeing yarn in the microwave with colours from jelly crystals.

Fireside – Spring

Our Spring September meeting will be held on Tuesday 20th September in the church lounge at 7.30pm. Please bring your Best Bloom. A lovely flower from your own garden. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Elaine Brown. Elaine is experienced at spinning and dying. She will show us the art of dying yarn in the microwave. Beautiful colours and something to be seen. Do join us and remember our wonderful sales table. Dorothy Finlayson.

Thank you

A HUGE THANK YOU to the 15 who turned out willingly and cheerfully to the cleaning bee on the 3rd September. Asher Hall has had a Spring Clean and a tidy up. Morning tea was yum.
