The Foodbank is currently short of soup, baby food, fish and pasta sauce. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Wool wanted (and it should be wool if possible) required for knitting slippers for decile one school. Have you any scraps –even little bits- that you are willing to part with? Please bring them along to Church or phone Jill in Taradale area (845 2392) or Dorothy in Napier (843 1266) if you would like wool collected. If you would like to make slippers, the pattern is in the parish newsletter of May 2012.

The National Council of Women Annual Dinner will be held at Havelock North Community Centre on Wednesday 16th May. The speaker is Dr Russell Wills, Commissioner for Children – ‘The State of Nation’s Children’. Tickets from Jill McConnochie $35 each.

Thai Meal and Mission to Muslims 25th & 26th May. On Friday 25th May from 6pm Chris will cook a Thai meal (please bring a donation to cover the cost of ingredients) and then speak to us.
The speaker has lived and worked in Muslim Southeast Asia for 10 years with OMF. Please RSVP for catering purposes to St Columba’s 844 5004 or office@stcolumba-taradale.org.nz Saturday 26th from 1-4pm – Making Mates with our Muslim Neighbours – a seminar on Christian-Muslim Understanding

Napier Civic Choir with Hawke’s Bay Orchestra presents “Coronation Concert” – 8 pm on Saturday 28th April and 2.30 pm on Sunday 29th April, featuring choral music by Mozart and Brahms and soloists Rebecca Ryan and Anna Pierard, at St. John’s Cathedral, Napier. Eleanor has tickets at St. Paul’s group price. Otherwise it is adults $25 and students $10. Door sales are available. See the poster on noticeboard.

Save the Children would like to thank St Paul’s for their support with the Fashion Parade which was held last Thursday.

Fashion Show Caroline Eve, Napier in conjunction with Save the Children are holding a Fashion Show on Thursday 19th April 2012 at Caroline Eve, Ocean Boulevard Mall, Dickens Street entrance.
Drinks and nibbles from 7pm with the show starting at 7.30pm.
