Thrift Shop News
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE we need more volunteers to man the shop. We are having trouble filling roster places when people are ill or having holidays. Some of our helpers are working 3 or 4 times a month and that is not fair. If you could work 1 or 2 (3 hours shifts a month), that would be great. We also need some people who could be called on in an emergency – ie. Fill in for an unexpected illness or other reason. PLEASE contact either Phyllis – 843 0991 or Anne – 844 8381. Plastic shopping bags are needed and thank you for your donations of goods to sell.

The Thrift Shop has given a further donation of $2000 to the Church and $200 to the Family Works Guardian Angel appeal. Thank you to all those who support the work of the Thrift Shop either by helping on the roster or supplying goods. We are finding a good sale for small furniture items and would appreciate donations of such items. We do not have any sale for older computers, televisions or other electrical goods.

Thank you very much to those who have already offered their help to the Thrift Shop. They will be included in the new roster in 2012. We plan to have 2 teams, volunteers for the shop & serving and volunteers for sorting & pricing in our Asher Hall store room. A kind person with a trailer would be extremely helpful for occasional use to move surplus stock from the shop on the corner of Nelson Cres and Latham St to Asher Hall. Thank you so much.
